JobResponsibilities & EssentialSkills:
 
·            Client is looking for senior software engineers to workas contractors on projects related to multimedia content analysis, retrieval,and visualization
·            Candidates should hold a Masters or PhD degree inComputer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline, or haveequivalent work experience. 
·            Job responsibilities include the development and deliveryof end-to-end multimedia solutions and applications, UI design andimplementation, large-scale multimedia data crawling, processing, indexing andvisualization. 
·            Candidate must have strong software engineering skillsand background in C++, web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, servlets), scripting(Perl, Python, Unix shells), UI programming, and development on Windows andLinux platforms. 
·            Candidates must have a significant ability to implementand test real world systems. 
·            Prior experience or knowledge in one or more of thefollowing areas is of particular interest: multimedia analysis and search, imageand video processing, data visualization, web crawling, large-scale distributingcomputing and search (e.g., Hadoop, Nutch, Lucene).
